Introducing: House to Home

The only thing better than helping local entrepreneurs, in our opinion, is helping female entrepreneurs. After crossing paths with DasFort at an Ocean NEI event, Beth Stutzman and Emily Baker approached us about making a video, and we were immediately on board.

Emily and Beth both have a background in staging and design, and after meeting and discovering their shared passion, they knew they wanted to bring a unique furniture option to the area — House to Home was born.

A couple of self-professed mom-bosses, they are on a mission to 'inspire creativity and enable our community to transform their house into a home," by offering "quality, trendy home furnishings at really great prices."

With a love for creating beautiful spaces, Beth and Emily are also passionate about restoring old buildings and investing in the revitalization happening in downtown Fort Wayne. When they found a space at the old Wayne Candies factory, home of the famous Bun Bars — they knew it was meant to be. (Scroll to the bottom for some before/after photos!)

The building is almost 120 years old, and the women are happy to be a part of the local history. "We often talk about if these walls could talk, what all they've seen ..." said Beth.

Full of character, the high-ceiling location has original hardwood floors, exposed brick, giant windows, and a loading dock — perfect for taking shipments of furniture. House to Home's new neighbors in the building include Prana Yoga, with Summit City Brewerks right next door.

House to Home is not your average home furnishings store, with almost weekly deliveries the inventory is fresh and new, and always "on point with current trends and styles." The ladies have also fought hard to keep prices affordable — "after all, we're moms who love to shop but don't want to break the bank!"

House to Home is a boutique furniture store that also offers staging and design services.
