Photo Contest Fusion: Yoga + Fort Wayne

This month, we were happy to partner with Fusion Yoga for a photo contest, asking locals to tag their yoga-inspired, Fort Wayne photos with #DasFort.

We're big fans of yoga here at DasFort, as well as the city! It was fun to see everyone's interpretation of the challenge, and all the various perspectives of our photogenic town.

After two weeks, we've finally landed on four winners, as there was a tie for third place. The first place winner will receive three passes to Fusion Yoga, the second place, two, and the third place winners will each get a free pass.

Thank you to everyone who participated! We appreciate all of you!

More about Fusion Yoga:

First things first – Fusion Yoga offers all types of yoga practices from beginner to advanced, from unheated to heated. For a full schedule, click here.

Now, what is hot yoga? Hot yoga is just what it sounds like: a yoga practice done in a heated environment. In India, the birthplace of yoga, temperatures are frequently in the 90s with 80-90% humidity so yoga is hot yoga. In our studio, this can range from 85 to 101 degrees Fahrenheit and is supplemented with additional humidity so that you, your skin, and your lungs are not dried out. Our hot yoga room features an antimicrobial floor, its own dedicated humidifier, UV light treatment system, and furnace with air exchange to keep your experience safe by constantly cycling CO2 out and fresh air back in.

Some people prefer hot yoga because of the warm environment or the escape from the cold. Others for the increased flexibility or elevated heart rate which burns additional calories. No matter your reason, we welcome you to give it a try!
